What are good alternatives to graphic design?

I took some art and design classes my first year, but all the next classes are restricted to Bachelor of Design/Fine Arts students, of which I was rejected to when i applied. I go to the university of alberta, and they have no other art courses for people who ARENT in said programs. I LOVE art (primarily graphic design), movies, music, and all forms of entertainment. What are the steps needed to become a college professor as a graphic design teacher?
